Five exceptional seniors from Southwest High School’s Class of 2025 have been awarded the prestigious Hagan Scholarship, which provides recipients with up to $60,000 a year to help fund their college education. In addition to financial assistance, the Hagan Scholarship offers winners exclusive opportunities such as Study Abroad programs, guidance in managing brokerage accounts, and funds to purchase essential college supplies.
These five students join three of their peers from the Class of 2024, who were awarded the Hagan Scholarship last year. These eight students represent a remarkable achievement for Southwest High School and exemplify the school's commitment to student success.
The recipients of the 2025 Hagan Scholarship are (from Left to Right in the photo above)
Brody Osborne will be attending Missouri State University, majoring in Wildlife Conservation and Management.
Piper King will pursue Psychology at Missouri State University.
Kelsee Merritt plans to attend Missouri State University and major in BioMedical Sciences.
Saige Miller is headed to Missouri State University with plans to study Marketing
Becca Swanepoel will attend a 4 Year University, majoring in History Education
